Models Usage Fold

manate-anagram/hermes-dashboard-models-usage-fold

Hermes dashboard plugin that folds duplicate provider and model cards on the Models page

In short

Models Usage Fold is a Hermes Web Dashboard plugin that folds duplicate provider and model cards on the Models page and shows a per-auxiliary-task usage breakdown that folding would otherwise hide. Its README is written in Japanese.

What Models Usage Fold does

The Models page draws one card per row returned by /api/analytics/models. Rows are grouped by raw model string and billing provider, and auxiliary usage is added as separate per-task rows, so one model appears as several cards. The README measured 90 cards on one instance over a 30-day window, 54 of them duplicates, caused by inconsistent model string prefixes, per-task auxiliary rows and rows with an empty billing_provider.

At startup the plugin wraps the core _get_models_analytics function in process and post-processes the result, so the official endpoint returns folded rows with no UI change. It also adds its own endpoint at /api/plugins/models-usage-fold/model-usage and a panel on the Models page. Token totals are only summed, never altered, and tests check that input, output, cache read, reasoning and session counts match before and after folding. It writes nothing under /opt/hermes, so hermes update and container recreation do not remove it. If upstream renames the function, it logs a warning and passes through.

Key features

  • Folds duplicate provider and model cards into one per group
  • Per-auxiliary-task breakdown shown as labels without double counting
  • A collapsible summary panel with 7, 30 and 90 day windows
  • Token totals preserved, with tests checking counts before and after
  • No changes under /opt/hermes, so updates do not remove it
  • Fail-soft behavior if upstream changes the wrapped function

When to use it

  • Cleaning up a cluttered Models page that shows the same model many times
  • Seeing how much usage comes from title generation, compression or vision tasks
  • Keeping dashboard fixes in the plugins folder so container rebuilds do not reset them

Who it is for: Hermes dashboard operators, especially those running in containers, who read usage analytics on the Models page.
