Financial analyst setup for Hermes: five standing market watchers and 18 analysis skills via LLMQuant Data

In short

llmquant-hermes turns a Hermes agent into a financial analyst by connecting it to LLMQuant Data over MCP. It adds five standing watchers, such as a morning brief and a 13F diff, plus 18 on-demand analysis skills.

What llmquant-hermes does

llmquant-hermes connects a Hermes agent to LLMQuant Data through MCP and installs the pieces of an analyst's workflow: five market playbooks that run as standing watchers, an analyst persona, and the 18 analysis skills from LLMQuant/skills. The skills are available as commands such as /llmquant-equities and /llmquant-macro for on-demand work on equities, macro, options and prediction markets.

The five watchers are a morning brief with macro, watchlist moves, company news and overnight prediction-market odds; an earnings watch; a 13F diff showing what tracked managers bought, sold or trimmed; a weekly portfolio pulse; and a Polymarket watch. Setup is one paste into your agent. The agent connects the hosted LLMQuant Data MCP URL first with local stdio as the fallback, confirms your model (DeepSeek is the baseline), installs the playbooks and skills, smoke-tests with a 0-credit call, and asks before editing config, writing cron jobs or needing an API key. A manual route adds an mcp_servers entry to ~/.hermes/config.yaml.

Requirements: A running Hermes agent, a messaging channel such as Telegram, Discord or Slack, a model backend (DeepSeek is the recommended baseline), and an LLMQuant Data account
