Electron desktop pet with emotions and voice for OpenClaw, with a Hermes compatibility mode
KKClaw Desktop Pet is an Electron desktop companion that gives an OpenClaw or Hermes backend a visible, speaking avatar. Hermes Agent is supported through a dedicated compatibility mode.
What KKClaw Desktop Pet does
KKClaw shows the agent as a glass-like orb pet on the desktop. The orb changes color across 14 emotions, plays idle micro-expressions, follows the mouse cursor and reacts to the time of day. Replies can be spoken with MiniMax text-to-speech, including voice cloning from a 30-second recording and eight preset voices, with Edge TTS as a fallback engine. Five personality presets can generate AGENTS.md, SOUL.md and USER.md files for the agent.
The app also includes a Gateway guardian that restarts the gateway after three failed health checks, capped at ten restarts per hour, plus a seven-step setup wizard, model hot-swapping through CC-Switch, API key storage with Electron safeStorage, and message sync with spoken announcements for Discord, Telegram, Feishu and WeCom. It runs on Windows 10 and 11 and on macOS. In version 3.7.1, Hermes mode shows a clear error when the Hermes API server is not enabled. The README is bilingual, Chinese and English.
