What Hermes Mobile does

Hermes Mobile gives Hermes Agent a phone interface with streaming chat, live tool cards, and approvals that can be answered from a status bar chip, which is an Android 16 Live Update and a normal notification on older versions. Hermes runs in Termux on the same phone, in Debian with a mobile plugin, and talks to the user's model provider over HTTPS. A shared canvas lets Hermes build interactive pages or 3D scenes beside the chat, with HTML running in a sandbox that is offline unless allowed, and every change saved as a restorable version.

The app renders KaTeX equations, sortable tables, task lists, callouts, Mermaid diagrams and colored diffs, supports read-aloud replies, dictation and a hands-free Live mode, and can be set as the phone's digital assistant. It also lets users stop or steer a running reply, edit, retry or branch turns, switch model and reasoning level per chat, create profiles with their own SOUL.md, manage cron jobs, browse files and share content to Hermes from other apps. A setup-check screen verifies Termux, permissions, the plugin and battery settings, and the app holds no permanent wake lock.
