Finch is a Hermes Agent skill that scans session history for corrections, breakthroughs and behavioral patterns. It turns what it finds into MEMORY.md updates and skill patches so the agent improves without manual bookkeeping.
What Finch does
Finch is a Hermes Agent skill that mines your session history for learning signals and feeds them back into memory and skills. It scans session transcripts in JSONL form for corrections, breakthroughs and behavioral patterns, then routes each finding to the right target: rules go into MEMORY.md, and methods become skill patches.
It also compacts MEMORY.md to stay within its character limit by deduplicating, re-ranking, evicting and compressing entries, and it emits OCAS Action Journals and DecisionRecords. Low-risk findings are applied automatically on a daily schedule, and the rest are queued for weekly review. Commands include finch.scan, finch.work, finch.compact, finch.mine and finch.dry-run, which runs the full pipeline without applying changes. Finch reads transcripts and MEMORY.md from the active Hermes profile and is part of the OCAS Agent Suite.
