herval/littleguys

macOS menu bar app with a little guy per agent for chatting with, approving and scheduling Hermes, OpenClaw and ACP agents

In short

littleguys is a free macOS menu bar app that gives each of your AI agents its own entry for chat, approvals and scheduled routines. Hermes Agent is one of its supported runtimes.

What littleguys does

Each agent appears as a little guy in the menu bar, with a sprite showing whether it is idle, working, has new replies, needs you or is offline. A popover lists every guy with a status ring and last-message preview, and a main window works like a chat app with streaming replies, tool-call chips, attachments and approve or deny controls for commands. Routines are cron jobs with friendly schedules, run-now and run history.

The README documents three adapters. OpenClaw connects over the gateway WebSocket protocol, Hermes Agent over a local hermes serve backend using JSON-RPC over WebSocket or a remote API server with an API_SERVER_KEY, and ACP agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Goose and OpenCode over the Agent Client Protocol. For Hermes the guys map to profiles, with native cron and approvals. It runs on macOS 13 or later on Apple silicon and Intel, updates itself, and is MIT licensed.
