What hermes-arxiv-agent does

The skill monitors arXiv for new papers matching a keyword list, downloads the PDFs and keeps a local Excel record. Hermes and its LLM then complete the author affiliations and write a Chinese summary for each paper. A daily report with title, authors, affiliations, PDF link and summary is sent to Feishu. The default topic is LLM quantization, and the keywords live in search_keywords.txt.

There are two modes. Local mode is the default: a cron job does the daily work and a Python script, viewer/run_viewer.py, serves a reading site at localhost:8765 with date filters, full-text keyword search, favorites kept in the browser and expandable abstracts. GitHub Pages mode adds automatic publishing of the static site to your own fork, which needs a fork and push access. Installation happens by telling Hermes in chat to install the skill from AGENT_SKILL.md, and a separate update prompt refreshes the cron job without reinstalling.
