Life OS

EntangledQuantum/Life_OS

Local habit and task app where your AI agent designs the system and you just tap to complete

In short

Life OS is a local, ADHD-friendly personal execution app for habits, study blocks and goals that an AI agent manages through MCP. The repository description names Hermes as one of the agents it can be controlled by.

What Life OS does

Life OS splits habit tracking into two jobs. You do the doing by tapping to complete, and your agent does the designing: it creates habits, schedules the day, writes goals, watches what actually happened and adjusts. Everything lives in one SQLite file on your own machine, with no account, no cloud and no sync. The data model has two nouns: Habits, which recur and are scored daily, and Tasks, which cover scheduled work, reminders, reviews and study blocks.

Agents connect over MCP, and an agent can subscribe to a webhook to hear about each completion as it happens. The README setup prompt works with any agent that can read a URL and run commands, and the GitHub description lists Hermes and MCP for agent control. The project is a pnpm workspace with a Hono API, a React web app, shared database and MCP packages, and an Expo Android app. By design it has no levels, ranks, leaderboards or streak guilt.

Key features

  • Agent-managed habits, tasks, goals and study blocks, with tap-to-complete for the user
  • MCP connection and webhook subscription for agents
  • Local SQLite storage with no account, cloud or sync
  • React web dashboard and an Android app built with Expo
  • Agent-driven setup that installs it, runs it as a service and schedules a nightly check-in
  • Goals that update when the agent records progress such as books read

When to use it

  • Let an agent notice a skipped habit and move it to a time that has worked before
  • Have an agent schedule a study task with the chapter, instructions and links to a PDF and video
  • Track a yearly goal such as reading 20 books while the agent records progress

Who it is for: People who find designing and maintaining a habit system harder than doing the habits, and who already run an AI agent.
