Hermes Link Curator

dodo-reach/hermes-link-curator

Hermes profile pack that archives any shared link into a searchable, Obsidian-style vault

In short

Hermes Link Curator is a Hermes Agent profile pack that turns a shared URL into an archived, tagged and summarized markdown entry, browsable through a local Obsidian-style dashboard.

What Hermes Link Curator does

The pack installs two skills, obsidian and link-curator-dashboard, plus a SOUL template that gives the agent a librarian personality built to archive rather than summarize away detail. A Hermes agent receives a link over Telegram, Discord or any other connected channel, fetches its content, and writes an entry into a local markdown vault that a standalone FastAPI dashboard then serves as a list, calendar, search, tag and graph view.

The dashboard binds to localhost by default and ships with no authentication, so the README recommends keeping it behind localhost, a LAN or a Tailscale tailnet rather than exposing it to the public internet; it can also be added to an iPhone home screen as a lightweight app through Safari. Installation is agent-guided: pointing a Hermes agent at the repository's AGENT_GUIDE.md has it create a profile and start the dashboard on its own.

Key features

  • Two Hermes skills (obsidian, link-curator-dashboard) plus a librarian SOUL template
  • Archives a shared link as tagged, summarized markdown with no content lost
  • Local FastAPI dashboard with list, calendar, search, tag and graph views
  • Agent-guided install that reads AGENT_GUIDE.md and sets up the profile itself
  • Home-screen-friendly dashboard reachable over LAN or Tailscale

When to use it

  • Archiving links shared in chat into a searchable personal knowledge vault
  • Browsing previously saved links by tag, date or a graph of connections
  • Running a private, authentication-free dashboard safely behind Tailscale

Who it is for: Hermes Agent users on macOS or Linux who want links sent in chat archived automatically into a browsable personal vault.

How it fits with Hermes Agent

Hermes Link Curator is a profile pack built specifically for Hermes Agent, installed by asking a Hermes agent to read its own AGENT_GUIDE.md.

How to install Hermes Link Curator

These commands are copied from the project's README. Check the repository for the latest steps before you run them.

./install.sh

Requirements: Hermes Agent, Python 3.10+, and a Bash-compatible shell on macOS or Linux (Windows native is not supported by the installer)

Note: The dashboard ships with no built-in authentication, so it should stay behind localhost, a LAN or Tailscale rather than a public internet-facing address.
