Self-improvement skill for Hermes Agent that finds weak skills, fixes them and reports the results
Hermes Dojo is a self-improvement skill for Hermes Agent that watches how the agent performs, finds its weakest skills, fixes them with self-evolution, and reports the results. It installs as a Hermes skill and is driven by /dojo commands.
What Hermes Dojo does
Dojo reads the agent's session logs from state.db and looks for failures: tool errors, retry loops, user corrections such as 'no, I meant...', and explicit complaints. It tracks a success rate per skill, categorizes root causes and ranks improvement opportunities. The README's examples include a web_extract skill that fails because it has no retry logic for timeouts, and a missing CSV-parsing skill that the user asked for five times.
For each weakness the fixer patches an existing skill with targeted error handling, creates a new skill from session patterns, or runs self-evolution (GEPA) on weak skills. Reports go to the CLI or to Telegram with deltas and sparklines, and daily metrics are stored so you can view a learning curve over days or weeks. The /dojo auto command sets up an overnight cron job that runs analyze, improve and report. The README says it was built for the Nous Research Hermes Agent Hackathon in March 2026.
