Threads Auto Poster

yanstd888/threads-auto-poster

Self-hosted Threads scheduler with source-backed AI drafting, human approval and an optional Hermes Agent CLI

In short

Threads Auto Poster is a self-hosted dashboard for planning, drafting, approving and publishing Threads posts. It can use the Hermes Agent CLI as an optional content agent.

What Threads Auto Poster does

Threads Auto Poster keeps sources, drafts, schedules and publishing credentials in one private workspace. You maintain an approved HTTPS source registry, and drafts attach source context. Posts go through an approval queue before the scheduler publishes them through the Threads API. A kill switch and approval mode are on for the first installation, and automated publishing should only be enabled after the workflow is verified.

AI is optional. When enabled, the dashboard can call the Hermes Agent CLI, with provider and model set by the operator. A readiness check runs before use, and empty or malformed agent output is rejected instead of being scheduled. Data lives in SQLite with WAL mode, backups and integrity checks. It uses Threads OAuth with encrypted token storage and a single admin account. Docker Compose covers the dashboard, but installations that need Hermes Agent use the native Node.js deployment.
