Self-hosted password-protected web dashboard for Hermes Agent with chat, terminals, files, cron and MCP
Hermes Control Interface is a self-hosted web dashboard for managing a Hermes Agent stack from a browser. It covers chat, terminals, files, cron, token analytics, MCP servers and swarm pipelines, all behind a password gate.
What Hermes Control Interface does
Hermes Control Interface is a Node.js and Express app with a Vanilla JS and Vite front end, using WebSocket, xterm.js, Chart.js and better-sqlite3. Its pages include Home, Chat, Workspace, Agents, Office, Monitor, Usage, Logs, Skills, Files, MCP and Maintenance. Chat streams in real time over a WebSocket gateway API with a profile switcher and tool call cards.
The Office page is a three-panel swarm monitor with an agent health grid, an eight-lane kanban pipeline and a live feed from gateway logs. The MCP page starts, stops and restarts MCP servers, tails logs and edits config. For teams, 20 permissions are split across three roles, and profile-based access isolation can restrict a user to specific agent profiles. It is installable as a PWA, and the docs cover production setup with nginx and systemd.
