Hermes Wingman

synthalorian/hermes-wingman

Flutter desktop and mobile apps plus a Rails web dashboard for setting up and running Hermes Agent

In short

Hermes Wingman is a graphical front end for Hermes Agent, available as a Flutter desktop app, a Flutter mobile app and a Ruby on Rails web dashboard, all backed by a Rust server. It covers installing Hermes, adding providers, switching models and managing skills, memory, cron jobs and gateway platforms without the terminal.

What Hermes Wingman does

Hermes Wingman has three editions that work together or separately. A Rust backend built on Axum exposes a REST API on port 9120 and binds to 0.0.0.0 so other devices on the LAN can reach it. The Flutter desktop app for Linux, macOS and Windows talks to it over localhost with system tray support. The Flutter mobile app for Android and iOS finds it by scanning the subnet for port 9120, and the Rails 8 dashboard proxies to it for browser access.

A setup wizard installs Hermes Agent if needed, adds a provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic or xAI or signs in with OAuth, and sets a default model. The app also manages skills, memory, cron jobs and gateway platforms, edits config.yaml in a live YAML editor, browses workspace files, schedules missions and saves model presets. The backend calls providers directly for streaming and shells out to the Hermes CLI for OAuth-based providers such as Nous and xAI.
