Browser dashboard for monitoring and configuring a running Hermes Agent
Hermes WebUI is a process-monitoring and configuration dashboard for Hermes Agent, reading its state files directly to show session activity, cron jobs, skills and cost tracking in a browser.
What Hermes WebUI does
The dashboard shows a real-time activity feed with session list, gateway status, platform health, cost tracking and model distribution, lets you browse and full-text search (FTS5) past conversation histories at the message level, and view (read-only) config.yaml and environment variables. Cron jobs and installed skills, both built-in and custom, are browsable with full source inspection, and the layout is mobile-friendly with a dark/light theme toggle.
It reads from Hermes' unmodified state.db (read-only SQLite) and config.yaml through a FastAPI backend and a React/Vite/TailwindCSS frontend, updated live over a WebSocket polling bridge with no changes required to the agent's own code. On first run it prints a one-time auth token that is also stored in ~/.hermes/auth.json, used to log into the web interface.
Key features

- Read-only config.yaml and environment-variable viewer for safety
- Cron job and skill browser with full source inspection
- WebSocket-based live updates with no modification to Hermes Agent's own code
When to use it
