Hermes OTG

Portable Hermes Agent for Windows that runs from a USB stick with no install, beside an installed Hermes
Hermes OTG is a portable build of Hermes Agent for Windows that runs from a USB stick or any folder without installing anything, and can sit alongside a Hermes you already have installed.
What Hermes OTG does
Hermes OTG packages a full Hermes Agent into one folder. The current release, v1.0.1, is based on Hermes v0.19.0 for Windows 10 and 11 and needs no Python, Node, Docker, admin rights or registry writes on the host. The core design choice is that HERMES_HOME resolves relative to the executable instead of ~/.hermes, and the README says 17 hardcoded-path source files and 4 import-time caching bugs were patched at the source level.
It can launch as a full Electron desktop app, the classic TUI, or a gateway and API server only. It runs side by side with an installed Hermes: it uses a different desktop app identity, port 7642 instead of 8642, and its own state.db, memories, skills and SOUL.md, and its gateway is off by default. The project positions itself as an IT rescue kit, a second agent that can diagnose and repair a host Hermes that broke after a failed update. It bundles FastMCP, FastAPI and CLI-Anything for coding work.
