Hermes fnOS
huxinga1/hermes-fnos
fnOS native .fpk package that installs Hermes Agent and Hermes WebUI on a NAS without Docker
Hermes fnOS is a packaging layer that bundles Hermes Agent and Hermes WebUI as a native .fpk application for fnOS NAS systems. It contains no Hermes source code and downloads both projects when the app is installed.
What Hermes fnOS does
The repository provides the fpk metadata and lifecycle scripts needed to install, upgrade, configure and uninstall Hermes Agent on fnOS. During installation it creates a Python virtual environment using the Python 3.12 that comes with fnOS, installs hermes-agent from PyPI with pip, and clones nesquena/hermes-webui from GitHub. There is no Docker dependency, and the package itself is only about 30 KB.
Because networks in China often struggle to reach GitHub directly, the install wizard offers a chain of pip mirrors (including Alibaba Cloud, Tsinghua TUNA and USTC) and GitHub proxies, and lets you choose a custom data path such as /vol3/hermes-data. After install, the WebUI is reachable on the NAS address at port 8787. The WebUI and agent can be upgraded online with scripts, while the fpk itself is upgraded by downloading a new release and installing it in the fnOS App Center. A build script, build-hermes-fpk.sh, produces the package.

How it fits with Hermes Agent
Hermes fnOS is a deployment wrapper for Hermes Agent and the community Hermes WebUI, with all agent and interface functionality supplied by those upstream projects.
Requirements: An fnOS NAS with its preinstalled Python 3.12, and network access to PyPI and GitHub or to the mirrors and proxies the wizard offers
Note: This repository is only a packaging layer; Hermes Agent and Hermes WebUI are downloaded from their upstream projects at install time.
