Windows desktop app that deploys Hermes Agent and Open WebUI in Docker with China-optimized mirrors
Hermes Desktop is a Windows desktop installer that deploys Hermes Agent and Open WebUI as Docker containers in one step, with built-in registry mirrors for networks in China.
What Hermes Desktop does
Hermes Desktop is an Electron application for users who are not comfortable with the command line. It runs five stages automatically: detect the environment, install prerequisites including Docker Desktop when it is missing, deploy the Hermes Agent container on port 8642, deploy an Open WebUI container on port 3004, and run health checks. Afterwards Open WebUI is at http://127.0.0.1:3004 and the Hermes API at http://127.0.0.1:8642.
For networks where Docker registries are slow, it tries mirrors in order: Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, DaoCloud, USTC and NetEase, with ghcr.io and docker.io as fallbacks, and it shows live pull logs and deployment progress. Retry and one-click repair buttons handle stuck steps, and an offline installer is recommended when pulls fail. The README gives manual docker pull and tag commands. Windows 10 and 11 are supported today, with macOS and Linux on the roadmap. The stack is Electron 33, React 19, Vite and a pnpm and Turbo monorepo.
