165 evidence-based pedagogy skills for teachers and EdTech builders, installable in Hermes Agent

In short

Education Agent Skills Library is an open-source collection of 165 evidence-based pedagogical skills across 20 domains for teachers, school leaders and EdTech builders. It has a documented Hermes Agent path using hermes skills tap add.

What Education Agent Skills Library does

The library covers pedagogy, learning science, curriculum, assessment and regeneration. Domains 1 to 19 are aimed at teachers and designers, and domain 20 is the first student-facing domain, with live AI interaction patterns that shape how an AI responds to learners during study sessions. Each skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file that has name and description frontmatter.

Hermes Agent users add the repository as a skills tap and install only the skills they need, since the README recommends a small starter pack over all 165 to keep the local index useful. Example skill paths include skills/memory-learning-science/spaced-practice-scheduler and skills/original-frameworks/learning-target-authoring-guide. The library also installs as a Claude plugin and a Codex plugin, and a hosted MCP server offers find_skills and suggest_skills tools. A separate Hermes plugin is not currently planned.
