What hermes-kanban does

hermes-kanban gives Hermes agents a shared task board. Agents create, update and complete tasks through a REST API, and you follow progress in a web UI with drag and drop, dark and light themes, a responsive layout and real-time updates. It is built with Flask and SQLite and installs with a single pip command, using a single-file database and no separate database server.

Agents are detected automatically from ~/.hermes/profiles/. The board reads the first line of each profile's SOUL.md as the display name and assigns a color, so new profiles appear without configuration. Custom agents can also be added with POST /api/agents. Optional features include Telegram notifications on task changes, basic auth and JSON export of all tasks. Port, host, credentials and database path are set through environment variables such as KANBAN_PORT and KANBAN_DB.

How to install hermes-kanban

Requirements: Python with pip. Agents appear from profiles in ~/.hermes/profiles/. Telegram notifications need a bot token and chat ID.

Note: By default the board listens on 0.0.0.0:9120 with the login hermes / hermes unless the environment variables are changed.
