What Hermes RSS does

Hermes RSS is a single desktop plugin with its own RSS category in Hermes. It subscribes to RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds, keeps the library and article history locally, and works with stock Hermes Desktop with no fork, upstream patch, separate backend or build step. The reader has a subscription sidebar, article list and reading pane, j and k keyboard navigation, folders, saved searches, mute rules, and OPML import and export.

Hermes comes in when you ask. Summaries include supporting passages that are validated against the fetched article, a native Hermes chat opens for discussing a story or finding more sources for a claim, and Load full article captures readable text from the original page. Optional AI grading, off by default, sends batches of article excerpts to your configured Hermes model and stores the labels locally. Feeds can refresh every 1 to 1,440 minutes while Hermes is open.
