What Hermes Teammates does

Hermes Teammates lets you define a small roster of named subagents, such as a reviewer, a scout or a test-writer, each with its own instructions, toolsets and optional model. The agent picks only a teammate name, and you decide what that name means. The plugin runs on stock Hermes with no patched core, using the public plugin subagent lifecycle API.

Four tools drive the work. teammate_assign launches a subagent and returns a run_id, teammate_check reports status or waits up to 60 seconds for a result, teammate_message steers a running teammate, and teammate_stop cancels it. A follow-up option gives a teammate a bounded digest of its earlier assignments in the conversation. Every run is recorded in a per-profile SQLite ledger. A Kanban teammates lane lets cards go to a teammate, which moves them to review with a summary or marks them blocked with the reason. The README says it is not meant for DAG workflows with gates and fan-out.
