What Hermes Agent Railway Template does

This template deploys Hermes Agent on Railway and puts a setup wizard at /setup in front of it. One page lets you pick an LLM provider from a dropdown and tick channel and tool checkboxes, so there are no config files to edit. The native Hermes web UI, with Chat, Keys, Skills, Kanban, Analytics and Console, is proxied at the root path behind the same cookie-based login.

From the browser you can start, stop and restart the Hermes gateway, which restarts automatically if it crashes. You can see gateway state, uptime, model and pending pairing requests, stream live logs, approve or deny users who message your bot, and reset the config. Backups run in the background and produce a zip of Hermes-home data such as config, credentials, chat history and skills. The zip is not encrypted, is available for 6 hours while the container stays up, and a safety snapshot is taken before every restore. The README walks through OpenRouter and Telegram as the quickest first setup.
